When the sky is clear and the snow is pristine, fortunate snowshoers can revel in the beautiful scenery as they travel the easy, short loop on the level terrain around Manzanita Lake. A prettier sight than a winter view of Lassen Peak across Manzanita Lake after a fresh dusting of snow is hard to imagine.
