You are invited to say “yes” to Lake Almanor first Wedding Faire sponsored by The Elegant Farmer and Lake Almanor Area Chamber (LAAC) in partnership with the Plumas County Tourism on March 21, 2026 at the Almanor Recreation Center in Chester from noon to 5:00pm.
“Destination weddings remain popular with bridal couples and Lake Almanor offers so much for those who want their day to be more than just traditional nuptials,” says Lynn Rafferty, owner of the Elegant Farmer.
For the engage couple, it is a “walk down the aisle” to meet vendors who will help you create your perfect wedding and assist with any of your destination needs. “As an outdoor adventure playground, the faire will include local businesses who offer activities for the couple and their guests making it truly a memorable destination,” adds Chelsea Harrison, director of LAAC.
The first 50 brides will receive a welcome gift; and there will be giveaways throughout the day to all who attend.

River Trail Ride, Drive and BBQ
This event is a fundraising event for “Tough Enough To Wear Pink with all proceeds going to St. Elizabeth Hospital Oncology. We have all been touched in one way or another by cancer and this is a fun way to give back to our community and help fight the cancer battle. All proceeds stay locally!
Trail Rides
This year we are offering two rides that both include a “poker run.” A full lunch to be delivered to the riders by boat and enjoyed riverside: a BBQ dinner is also included with your ride ticket. Read More
