Turtle Bay Exploration Park

Collins Pine Museum

The open-beam structure provides an appealing space with different species of wood from the area. The museum contains exhibits on lumbering, forestry, principles of sustainability, and Collins history. Outside the building is a viewing path with trucks and equipment that were used by Collins Pine Company in the 1940s - 1960s. The museum is open mid-May to mid-October, Wednesday - Saturday, 9:00am - 5:00pm, and there is no charge for visiting.

Mt. Shasta Sisson Museum

History, geology, lenticular clouds, railroad, and more interactive exhibits. Fun and interesting for people of all ages. Located next to Mount Shasta Fish Hatchery. Hours are the last weekend in March through December:  Thurs. Fri. Sat. Sun. Mon. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Arts & cultural non-profit. Facility features contemporary art gallery, performance hall & classroom. Arts services include tech & fiscal support, audio/visual recording, tv production, rentals.

Shasta Lake Heritage & Historical Society

Preserving the history, heritage & culture of the Shasta Lake area; early pioneers, Native Americans, Shasta Dam, early businesses, residents & their lives, and the community spirit & events that led the Boomtowns to becoming a city. Focus is on the people who came seeking work on Shasta Dam, and the history of the surrounding area. Hours: 9am-1p Friday, Saturday, and Monday.

Anderson Historical Society & Museum

Museums on site displaying and preserving items of local historical significance include the late 1890's Frisbie House, a local boarding house relocated and renovated for museum displays, and one-room Columbia Schoolhouse, authentically furnished early ca. 1900. Open Tues , Thurs. and first Saturday of each month 11 am - 3 pm.

Behrens-Eaton House Museum

The Behrens-Eaton House Museum is a restored home lived in by same family from 1898 - 2003. Historical research library on site. Open Tues & Weds. 10 am - 4 pm, Saturday 1-4 pm or by appointment.

Bolt's Antique Tool Museum

The museum displays approximately 12,000 different items consisting of wrenches, blacksmith tools, tune-up related items, jacks, service station items, plumbing tools, soldering irons, electric tools, hand grinders and other misc. items. Over 2,000 brands dating back to the 1820's. Considered to be one of the most historical tool museums in the world. Open 7 days a week. Mon - Sat. 10 am -3:45pm, Sundays 11:45 -3:45 pm.

C.F. Lott Home in Sank Park

The home of Judge C.F.Lott, a'49er and prominent figure, was built in 1856.  The home, filled with many original furnishings and artifacts, tells a story of unrequited love, and life long devotion.
